Funny story

Brian was packing up to go back to work again today, We sure have loved having him home with us for the last week. Its always hard to have him leave again. But we had a little neighbor girl over at our house today that made it a little easier. Alli's friend Torrie went up to Brian when he was leaving and was talking to him about why he has to go away to work, so far away, then she said...................... "Oh yeah its cause your a semi-person" It hit me so funny. Most kids would say a truck driver, but I couldn't stop laughing when she called him a semi-person. So now that is our joke for Brian, He can get away with anything, cause he is a
semi-person. Kids are so funny. Thanks for the laugh torrie.

Does anyone recognize this cute baby?
Its my birthday boy!!!!!
It is so hard to believe how fast time flies. 10 years ago today I was being handed this little bundle of joy trying to figure out how to raise another boy, and now... 10 years later, I am still trying to figure it out. Joey is such a fun kid. He is full of personality, and humor. He definatley keeps me on my toes. He is growing up so fast. I am going to turn around again, and he will be 20! Once again we need to find the pause button on life, or at least the slow down button. But as hard as it is to see your kids grow up, it is just as fun to see all the changes in our lives. Joey isn't the little boy who liked to play cars anymore, now he wants to play with horses, and bb guns, and ride his bike all over town- ALONE, or hang out with his friends. Now he talks about driving cars instead of playing with them, thank goodness that is still a few years away. But anyway enough ranting from an ever aging mother. Happy Birthday Joey We all love you so much!

We went out to chilis for his birthday lunch. Brian ordered him a special dessert for his b-day. With a little help from and eager brother and sister, they managed to polish the whole thing off.

Joeys diagnosis
Well what there is of it. I have had a few people ask what we have heard about Joeys dr. visits. I guess I haven't posted yet, because of my continued frustration!!!!!
So here is the deal. The diagnosis of cushings that I was 100 % sure of we were told was negative,(I am still not so sure) but what he does have is high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and reduced kidney function. According to my dr. there is no plan of action, we are to see the dr. every 3 months for checkups. However, I have been emailing a dr. at primary childrens, and shriners, trying to get a second opionion so we will see. Hopefully we can get Joey feeling great again!!!!! And back to normal---well I am not sure Joey has a normal, but we will get him healthy again!!! Thanks all for your concern.

Draper temple
This is considered on of the smaller temples, and they don't have much parking. So to go to the open house, we had to park at a church house, and get bussed to the temple, so I don't have any cute pics of the kids by the temple, but it is a beautiful temple!

Draper temple trip
Last week we had the opportunity to go to the Draper temple open house. We went and we didn't even get hit by lightning!!!
We had such a great time. Grandpa Roy, Grandma Sally, grandma great, aunt Kami, and Saydee all went with us. This is all of us on the bus ride from the church house to the temple. Jason especially loved the bus trip!

Alli's Dance competition in Idaho Falls. One dance took 1st place and she took 2nd place on her other dance. She looks so pretty in her lyrical outfit. She is definatly our princess. Next showing is in Malad, ID in the middle of April. She gets to do a duet with her friend Michaela. We are all looking forward to that competition. And last but not least, May 9, we are heading to lagoon for comp again!!!! yeah we get to play too!

After Alli's first dance Mindy took her to Red Robin for lunch. Alli loves onion rings so we let her order the tower of rings I think she is in heaven.

Where is the Ark???
It seems like every spring (dare I say its almost here) we get some flooding in Downey. And it has been bad before, but this is getting really bad. My mailbox is across the street from my house, and at least for the time being, I can't get my mail without sending one of my kids in to brave the fierce arctic waters. Ok so its no big deal to them, but I wouldn't do it. So here are some pics of the flood. If you double click on the pictures you can see them bigger, and get a little better idea what is creeping across my street. I will keep you posted if I need that ark.

Doctor Doctor give me the news.........
Ok so I have never been a very patient person. And this recent trial is no exception. I took Joey into the Dr.s last month for some blood work, and bone scans. I am sure most of you know that He has been having some difficulty in his little life. I have been taking him to a couple different dr.s and finally found one to listen to me, and do some tests. Well now I am waiting to hear the results. I have already waited 11 days. I wish I was one of those people that when stressed out they can't eat, lose weight, you know the type, but no, I get stressed out, and can't stop eating. It is horrible. If I don't hear from the dr. soon, I may be the next contestant on the biggest loser!!! And on top of all the stress, my little Jason Jett got really sick yesterday. We were up all night with coughing, and fever. Poor baby he is so miserable. So we are playing hooky from church today to take care of my little one. And maybe if all goes well, a well deserved nap!

Girls night out!!!
Me and Jennie needed a 'break from reality' So we went to town last night, had a little dinner, then went and saw 'He's just not that into you' We laughed through the whole thing. The movie was 2 1/2 hours long, and it seemed like an hour. I did not want it to end. And yes it makes me so glad to be married and not deal with 'is he going to call'
Anyway way cute show.

Now that my coat rack project is finished, of course I have to start another one. My dad brought me up this old dresser. I am going to refinish, or paint or crackle or do something to this, I am not sure yet. but keep checking back, I will show you the result when I decide what to do!

OK. so this is one of my many wild and crazy ideas that I come up with, then my dad has to help with. This is my laundry room. There was a window here, but I thought it was a worthless window, it let the cold in in the winter, and the hot in, in the summer. So of course I decided I was going to close off the window, and have a nice bench and coat rack. So a couple of weeks ago me and brian closed off the window, and called my dad to help with ideas for a bench and coat rack. My dad found the coat rack part at IKEA(fun store, I could get in so much trouble in that place) So me and my mom went to see the coat rack, I loved it and bought them. Then I found a bookshelf that if I turned it sideways, would be the perfect bench, but it was too long, so my amazing dad, built one that would fit!!! I absolutly love it. The kids have their own baskets to put their shoes in, so I don't have to trip over them to get to the washer and dryer. It is a perfect fit, so dad, thank you sooooooo much!

Happy Birthday to our sister!
Every year on Meggans birthday we celebrate for her. This year we made cupcakes, then arranged them in an M for Meggan. For some reason, this year was harder on Alli, she wishes she could hang out with her big sister. Maybe someday! Here are the 4 kids celebrating and eating the yummy cupcakes!

Happy Birthday Meggan!!!
Today is Meggans birthday, she is 17. It is hard to believe that she is that old already. For those of you that don't know her, she is Brians daughter from his first marraige. She sure is a beautiful girl. And we all sure miss her. I have a bunch of cute younger pics I wanted to add to this, but Brian lost the cords to my scanner!! Sorry B I had to rat you out!

Who doesn't love cookies?????
Here are the 3 older kids decorating cookies for our neighbors. Its a tradition!

Valentines packages from grandma and grandpa Carroll! Grandma and grandpa have sent the kids a valentine package every year! The kids love getting their mail. And they LOVE eating their chocolate, especially Jason this year. Thanks grandma and grandpa we love you!

Better late than never!!!
Here are the 3 kids with their school valentine boxes. This year Alli made hers at school with her class, but both Joey and Zach needed to make one at home. This is our attempt at creativity. For Zachs we used a game we had, the ants in the pants sponge bob square pants version, took it apart, and put it on a box. As you can see, Zach loved it. For Joey we tried to do a rodeo set. We took one of his bulls, and a couple of cowboys put them inside a paper fence. He totally loved it.

SUPERBOWL SUNDAY
Here is me and Jennie ready for the commercials in 3D! Some of them were actually pretty cool. But NOT as cool as we are in our glasses. And here is my Jason. He had to clean up after the superbowl. The adults were way too tired. Good job Jason!

Well it is recorating time AGAIN. Alli was ready for a change from the yellow walls. So I took her to lowes and let her pick out the new color. This is what she picked. It is called Limenada. We think it turned out pretty well. And she is happy, and thats what matters.
This is the before picture of her yellow room.

OH CRAP!!!!!

I guess it was bound to happen sometime, I just didn't think it would happen so soon. For the past couple weeks we have been letting Zach start our car in the mornings so it will be warm for us. He has been doing a great job...... till today. I sent him out to start the car, Then when we all went out to get the kids to school I noticed my car was about 8 ft. closer than when I parked it last night. Then Joey noticed that my tire was flat. and our trailer was pushed up and back. Well seeing how its Monday and all it took me a minute to catch on to what happend. I looked at Zach, and he knew I knew. Zach apologized, then they all got a ride to school from our neighbor (since I had a flat) Then that same wonderful neighbor put my spare tire on for me so I could get into Pocatello and get it fixed. Now my tires look good, can't say the same for the poor car, it will have to wait to get fixed! So moral of the story:START YOUR OWN CAR!!!!!!!

Zach and Jason wanted to go out and build a snowman, but the snow was melting except for right up by our house where the drifts had blown in. So they decided to carve a snowman in the drift instead. I think it turned out pretty cute!

Zach snowboarding on his new snowboard from grandpa and grandma. He is really good. We have a pretty good hill by our house, and the kids love to go sledding on it. Now it is the new snowboarding hill.
